Dana Kay Wriedt

Dana Kay Wriedt, age 51, of Thornton, Co. passed away Saturday March 2, 2024 at Boulder Community Hospital, Boulder, Co.   Cremation rites have been accorded, a private family Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.

Dana was born on July 19, 1972 in Davenport, Ia. the daughter of Kenneth and Brenda (Claussen) Wriedt.  She graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1990.  In 1994 she received an AA degree from Mesa State College, Grand Junction, Co., majoring in Early Childhood Education.  She spent most of her working career in the Daycare and Preschool areas.

Following a stroke in 2016, Dana loved to spend time with her family, especially her nieces and nephew, play UNO, working on her Lingraphica tablet, exercising, taking long walks and going on sightseeing rides.   She also loved spending time in Fulton, Il. and Clinton, Ia. visiting extended family and friends.

Dana is survived by her parents, her brother Lonny (Kim) of Colorado Springs, Co., sister Marcey (Brian) Bowman of Arvada, Co., nieces Madisyn and Kennedy Wriedt of Colorado Springs, Co. and Elle, Tyler and nephew Trey Bowman of Arvada, Co.
