Christine Marie Malenfant

Christine Marie Malenfant (Schaefer) June 25, 1956 – October 7, 2025

With family by her side, Christine Marie Malenfant, age 69, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away after a courageous fight with cancer on October 7, 2025.

Born and raised in Denver, Christine was preceded in death by her parents, James and Barbara Schaefer, her brother, James “Jimbo” Schaefer and brother-in-law, Christian Malenfant. She is survived by her loving husband, Philip Malenfant; her children Shane (Melissa) Nolan, Nicole (Dru) Burton, Brandon (Erin Grant) Malenfant, and Brianna (Ethan Grieve) Malenfant; her sister, Kim Schaefer; her beloved grandchildren, Caleb Nolan and Haley Nolan; her sister-in-laws Teresa Schaefer, Shirley Nichols, and Catherine Harms, many nieces and nephews, and several other treasured family members.

For more than 20 years, Christine devoted her heart and energy to caring for children at A New Generation Childcare, where she made sure every child she met felt safe, valued, and loved. Her warmth and kindness touched countless lives, both within her family and far beyond it.

Christine cherished every moment spent with her family and friends. Whether she was enjoying a quiet afternoon outdoors, large gatherings in her backyard enjoying the swimming pool and good BBQ, making a Target run with her daughter Brianna, or sharing coffee and conversation with her granddaughter Haley, Christine found joy in life’s simplest and most meaningful moments.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 9, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Bell Flatirons Community Center, 2200 South Tyler Drive, Superior, 80027. All are welcome to attend and honor Christine’s beautiful life and the love she shared so freely.
