Chom Ye Romanello, 68, passed away on Saturday April 23, 2022 surrounded by family. Chom Ye was born on March 20, 1954 in Seoul, South Korea. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Domenic J. Romanello, Jr. of Aurora, Colorado and her daughter Kristina Kay, also of Aurora. In addition, Chom Ye is survived by her sisters, Kim Sun Cha of Seoul, South Korea, and Chom Sun Lilly of Portsmouth, Virginia, as well as her brother Kim II Wan of Pusan, South Korea. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews to treasure her memory.

Chom Ye lived the life of an Army wife traveling the world with Dom while they raised their daughter Kristina. She had the honor of becoming a citizen of the United States of America in 1983 while they were stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Chom Ye was an avid cross stitcher and their home exhibits many of her beautiful creations. Her family loved her delicious cooking, especially her mouthwatering spring rolls and short ribs. Chom Ye had a zest for life that was unmatched and she had a very tenacious nature when playing games of all kinds. She loved video games, casino trips, and playing the Phase Ten card game with her nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on April 28, 2022 at the Romero Family Funeral Home in Aurora, Colorado. Father Terry Kissell, Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish in Aurora, officiated. The family celebrated with a luncheon in Chom’s honor directly following the memorial service.
