Born to Orlando Montano (deceased) and Gloria Sandoval.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Carlos and Lola Sandoval, paternal grandparents; Estella and Alfonso Montano. His father, Orlando Montano; brothers Manuel, Joey, Floyd, Steven, Victor and Marvin; nieces Angelique Montano and Gloria V. Montano. Maternal uncles; Trancito Sandoval, Fermin Maestas, Arthur Sandoval, Dickie Sandoval, Benjamin Sandoval, and Joe Christ Sandoval; and Aunt Priscilla Sandoval. Paternal uncles, Tomas and Alfonso Montano; aunts, Tita Garcia and Lupe Baca.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Efijenio and Gloria Guevara; his partner, Viola Chavez; her children, Andrew and Mary Chavez, Patrick and Julie Chavez; and his special grandchildren, Felipe and Andrea.

Maternal Aunt, Tina Maestas, and Uncle Danny and Ruby Sandoval; Cordelia Sandoval, Mamye Sandoval, Erlinda Sandoval, Antonia Sandoval and Dinah Sandoval. Paternal Uncle, Horacio Garcia, Delfinio and Rosa Montano, and Aunt Grace Montano. Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
