Carol Haas

December 14, 1938 — October 3, 2020

With much sorrow and tears, we announce that on Saturday October 3, 2020, Carol Ann Haas, loving wife and mother to four children, 8 grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, passed away at the age of 81 in Albuquerque New Mexico. She was called home by the Lord to join her loved ones in Heaven.

Carol was born on December 14, 1938 in Cleveland Ohio, where she lived with her parents Grace and Elwood Bridle and her 3 sisters Gayle, Judy, and Patricia. She met the love of her life and was married to her sweetheart, Joseph F. Haas on September 6, 1958 in a wonderful wedding celebration. Carol and Joe started a beautiful family and had their 4 children, Victoria (Vicky), Joseph (Joe), Cynthia (Cindy), and Gina. Their family was started in Cleveland Ohio, and then ventured on their journey to Albuquerque NM to raise their family in the mid 70’s. Carol and her family loved spending time together and being part of their church and worship groups. They loved taking their kids on weekend adventures to Elephant Butte, the Jemez mountains, and Yogi Bear Campgrounds where they created lifelong memories. As their children grew up, they moved around the country and she enjoyed going and visiting them and being part of their adventures including traveling to New York, Florida, and California. Carol was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and the Lord and spread his word to many and lived by his word until her final breath. She loved spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking for loved ones, taking care of others, and she loved painting. Her paintings truly captured the beauty she saw. She was a huge animal lover, especially loving of dogs and polar bears. She also loved photographing special moments and putting together photo albums and family videos.

With her passing she joins her husband Joe and her oldest daughter Vicky along with other beloved family members in Heaven. She is survived by her children Joe Haas, Cindy Wildman, and Gina Haas, and her grandchildren Kris Haagenson, Joey Haas, Adam Newberry, Justin Haas, Daniel Haas, Desiree Gonzales (and husband Gabriel Gonzales), Nicholas Wildman, and Rachael Musgrove, and her many great-grandchildren. She will be forever loved by her loved ones who are so thankful and happy to call her the rock of our family. She truly demonstrated what a pure heart of gold is in a person. Her biggest joy in life was being a grandma and she loved her grandchildren with all her heart. Everything good in her children and grandchildren came from her. She had a beauty to her, inside and out, and an infectious smile and laugh, and such a kind and compassionate soul. She gave the best hugs and love you could ever wish to receive. Thank you, mom/grandma, for your love, for your hard work and compassion, and for always praying for us and rooting for us and being our biggest fan. You are the heart of our family and you deserve a world of love. You mean more to this family than any of us could put into words. Time and again, you’ve been there for us, loving us at our worst and inspiring us at our best. Thank you for always loving us, and until we are reunited in Heaven, please look over us and remind us that you are forever in our hearts with your undying forever love. We love you, forever and ever.
