Curt grew up in Littleton, Colorado where he loved and excelled in sports throughout his school years, attending Highland Elementary, Newton Junior High and then Arapahoe High School. He wrestled in Jr. High also excelling in track and field in High School as an accomplished distance runner specializing in the e 1-mile run. Curt played football at Arapahoe High School both his Jr. and Senior years graduating in 1977 then football at Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona. An enduring Broncos football fan always enthused about the sport and the players. 

Curt excelled at racing Moto-cross for twenty-five years winning many races and was also an excellent self-taught mechanic and worked at auto repair at a South Broadway dealership and Elliotts Automotive. He worked in sheet metal fabrication for HVAC and metal production for many years in the 90's and early 2000's. Finally working a lead position in industrial door production and fabrication.

Curts great passion was for motorcycles, enjoying rides in rallies and runs to different states with his friends. The freedom of the open road was one of Curt's great pleasures. Nascar was his favorite always watching the races and cheering for Dale Ernhart and son. Collecting everything involving the sport of racing.
