Bennie Portillo

Bennie F. Portillo (October 4, 1932 April 18, 2017) died peacefully in Santa Fe, NM. He is preceded in death by his parents Matias and Delores Portillo; sisters Angie Armijo and Leticia Lucero. Bennie is survived by his son Frank; daughters Roberta Sohm (Carl), Sandra Sanchez (Manuel); sister Sally Tenorio; Virginia Portillo the mother of his children; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.
Bennie served in the US Army during the Korean War as a Corporal. Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Steven Aragon, Nicholas Sanchez, and Robert Sohm.
A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with memorial mass following at 9:00 a.m., internment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m.
