Ann Elaine (Guthrie) Berg, age 69, of Centennial, Colorado, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, at her home. 

Ann was born on December 19, 1955, in Warrensburg, Missouri, the daughter of George and Mary Lou (Scott) Guthrie. 

Ann grew up in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1974. In 1976, she received her Associate of Arts degree (AA) from Longview Community College in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She then enrolled in the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri, where, in 1978, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) in Marketing. After graduation, Ann began her career at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company (later AT&T) in Kansas City, Missouri. In the early 1980’s, Ann moved to Denver, Colorado, and accepted a marketing position at Northern Telecom (later Nortel Networks). She had a very successful career there, eventually becoming a Vice President. 

On October 26, 1985, Ann and David Berg were united in marriage in Denver, Colorado. Ann became a stepmother to David’s son, Michael John Berg, and on September 21, 1990, Ann and David adopted Ryan James Berg at birth.

In the late 1980’s, Ann was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She continued her career in Marketing for several years, but she eventually retired due to her health. 

Ann is survived by her sons, Michael and Ryan Berg, two sisters, Willa Cline and husband Bob of Overland Park, Kansas; Lynn Wagner and husband Ben of Raytown, Missouri; and one brother, Kevin Guthrie and wife Kathy of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
