November 9, 1948 — June 22, 2025

Parker, Colorado

Alison Ann Glenn, 76, of Parker, Colorado passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Alison was born in Potsdam, NY to the late Elizabeth and Thomas Kimberly on November 9, 1948. After moving to Texas and California during the first nine years of her life, she settled with her family in Cheshire, CT in 1957. She graduated from Cheshire High School in 1967.

She is survived and dearly missed by her two sons - Justin Glenn of Boca Raton, FL (Donna) and Shannon Glenn of Strasburg, CO; three grandsons, Nolan Glenn (Lindsay) of Canton CT, Kyle Glenn (Anna)of Unionville, CT, Aaron Goddard (Ashley) of San Diego, CA, and a great grandson Nolan Jr.

She is also survived by her brother Thomas Kimberly Jr. of New Haven, CT and predeceased by her sister Gaylen Troski formerly of Cheshire, CT.

In 1978 Alison began an eight year career as a dental hygienist. She then moved on to several jobs in the medical and care giving fields

Alison loved horses. She was a competitive show jumper in her teens and her love of horses never waned, often reading fiction and non-fiction about them in her later years. She was an avid lover of animals. Throughout her life she never met a stray dog or cat that she didn’t want to help. In her final days, watching and listening to birds gave her comfort from the pain of her illness. She most loved her sons and took great pride in their accomplishments throughout their lives. After moving to Colorado in 2010 she became a Denver Broncos fan. She enjoyed watching football and as a novice fan, asked many questions to her sons about the rules of football and the players. She also took immense pride in her grandchildren and enjoyed FaceTime calls with them.

In the last several years of her life Alison had a special bond with her friends and neighbors in Englewood CO.

Linda Ribelin, Sharon Heriza, Deanna Thompson, Mary Crow and Joey Peters gave her many fond memories as well as joy and comfort before she passed. Her sons Shannon and Justin would like to thank Mia of Bristol Hospice and the entire staff at Parker Post Acute in Parker CO, especially nurse Djinivive, for their dedication and hard work in keeping Alison comfortable in her final days.

A memorial celebration of Alison’s life will be held at a time and location to be determined.
